Finance 101
“Finance 101 for Kids with Autism” is an engaging and accessible program designed to introduce children on the autism spectrum to basic financial literacy concepts. This program aims to equip neurodiverse children with essential life skills such as managing money, understanding savings, and recognizing the value of budgeting, all in a structured and sensory-friendly environment.
Led by educators experienced in working with children on the autism spectrum, each session is designed with visual aids, interactive activities, and clear, step-by-step explanations to make financial concepts easy to grasp. The curriculum covers topics like identifying currency, setting financial goals, making simple purchases, and distinguishing between needs and wants. Lessons are broken down into manageable tasks to ensure that children can engage with the material at their own pace.
The program also focuses on promoting independence, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Group activities and games encourage social interaction and collaboration, helping children practice real-world financial scenarios in a fun and supportive setting.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate, enabling them to reinforce the lessons at home and continue the learning process. “Finance 101 for Kids with Autism” is more than just a financial education program—it helps children build confidence, develop critical life skills, and prepare for future independence in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Our goal is to empower children with autism to feel confident in managing money, make informed financial decisions, and gain practical life skills that will support their growth and independence.
