Music 101

“Music 101 for Kids with Autism” is an interactive, sensory-friendly program designed to introduce children on the autism spectrum to the world of music in a supportive and engaging environment. This program fosters creativity, self-expression, and emotional development through the exploration of rhythm, melody, and sound.
Led by instructors who specialize in working with neurodiverse children, each session is tailored to accommodate different sensory sensitivities and communication styles. Using a variety of instruments, including drums, keyboards, and percussion tools, children are encouraged to explore music at their own pace. Visual aids, structured routines, and hands-on activities make the lessons accessible and enjoyable for all participants.
In addition to learning basic musical concepts, the program emphasizes emotional regulation, motor skill development, and social interaction. Group activities such as rhythm games, sing-alongs, and collaborative music-making allow children to engage with their peers in a positive and inclusive environment.
Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in, making music a shared experience that can strengthen bonds and provide opportunities for continued exploration at home. “Music 101 for Kids with Autism” is designed to not only teach musical skills but also to provide a space where children can express themselves, build confidence, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of music.
Our goal is to create a fun and inclusive program where children on the autism spectrum can discover the joy of music, develop new skills, and connect with others through the universal language of sound.
