autism learn & play Inc. Programs
Finance 101
The program under consideration, Finance 101 with autistic children, is an approachable and involving program that will teach children on the autism spectrum about the basics of financial literacy for kids. The program will help neurodiverse children acquire the necessary life skills, including managing money, learning about savings, and a sense of the importance of budgeting, which will be taught in a structured, sensorial-friendly setting.
With educators with experience in working with autism spectrum children leading the session, each part of the session is made easy to understand through visual aids, multi-sensory activities, and step-by-step instructions of how the financials work. The curriculum includes such aspects as the ability to identify currency, financial goal setting, simple purchases, and the ability to differentiate between wants and needs. The lessons are divided into easy-to-handle tasks so that the children can learn at their own pace to strengthen autism money skills through practical, hands-on learning.
An independent approach, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are also part of the program. Playing games and working in groups leads to socialization and cooperation, which allows children to train real-life financial situations in a non-stressful environment. Such experiences affirm financial literacy for kids with autism principles, making them learn how to manage money in their day-to-day life.
It is recommended that parents and caregivers should be involved so that they can support the lessons at home and further the process of learning. The program, Finance 101 with autistic kids, is not only a financial education program but enables the children to gain confidence, create essential life skills, and be prepared to live independently in a friendly and integrative environment.
We want to make children with autism feel confident in using money, making informed financial choices, and acquiring practical skills in life, which will help them grow and live an independent life. This program fosters both knowledge and independence in a supportive environment that is friendly to neurodiverse learners through a focus on financial literacy for kids, autism money skills, and financial literacy for kids with autism.
